HEAD OF ENGAGEMENT Reporting to: UK General Manager

HEAD OF ENGAGEMENT

  • Key objectives

    The Engagement function is responsible for innovative design, world-class delivery and operational excellence. The Head of Engagement has three areas of responsibility:

  • Progressively managing the infrastructure, resources and compliance required to ensure our solutions and methodologies integrate market-leadership, sustainability, outstanding quality and safe practice

  • Strategically creating capacity to ensure that the right consultants and support staff are engaged in developing and delivering our pioneering programmes, deployed effectively and profitably

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Working closely with the permanent and associate team (consultants and support) to ensure the right people, with the right skills are utilised effectively on client assignments through leading the Resourcing function

  • Leading and managing a team of people who are supporting the high quality, profitable delivery of our experiential methodologies including outdoor technical support and community action learning

  • Promoting and monitoring a sound health and safety culture, systems and processes across the business

  • Adhering to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes, ensuring that they are implemented across the function

  • Managing internal and external capacity within a budget to ensure that utilisation and profit targets are achieved

  • Managing and maintaining quality management systems for our programmes, equipment and resources

  • Planning for future demand to ensure the right capacity, resources and facilities are available to deliver solutions in line with market need including associate recruitment and development strategies

  • Generating fee-earning revenue through strategic programme delivery

  • Reporting monthly on performance, capacity and budgets

 

Success criteria

  • Strategic provision of resources and facilities appropriate to creating an outstanding client experience

  • Internal and external capacity maximised to ensure profitability targets are met

  • Operational excellence through safe, efficient and effective service and systems across the business

  • An inspired, motivated and well developed function that is living the Impact values and promoting our ambitions as a responsible organisation 

  • Relevant knowledge and experience of the leadership development sector alongside knowledge and experience of outdoor adventure would be preferable.
