Contract: Full time - Permanent
Salary: The commencing Salary will be Scale F starting at £25,656 rising by increments to a maximum of £30,180.
Devon and Cornwall Police and Dorset Police are working together under a Strategic Alliance. A review has been undertaken of the People Department which is now being implemented for the 1st April 2017. This has created exciting new opportunities to be part of a new team within the HR Operations team. The HR Operations team includes two strands, Operations Delivery and Operations Corporate Support, however the roles are multi-skilled providing flexibility and resilience across both areas.
This role operates within both Operations Delivery and Operations Support providing a flexible and resilient service across the Force. This includes responsibility for case management, advising managers with complex case issues including investigating police staff discipline, capability, performance management and Unsatisfactory Performance Procedures. Additionally the role involves providing corporate support in relation to the Consideration of Retention processes, Reviews of Injury Awards, Grading and Pay processes and the provision of technical employment advice and support. It is essential that the postholders are able to work effectively on their own initiative and are prepared to travel on a regular basis across the Force area. A number of the roles are intended to be based at Plymouth (Crownhill).
