I am currently recruiting for an experienced Human Resources Business Partner to join a well respected and dynamic and progressive organisation in Huntingdon. This role is a permanent, full time position offering the opportunity for flexible working from home in addition to generous benefits.

Based in Huntingdon/Peterborough with travel around the region as required.
Purpose of Job To ensure that the designated Business Unit/s and any associated alliances have appropriate people strategy, plans, products and services in place to achieve their business plans and longer term goals.
To ensure delivery of this strategy and plans is comprehensively monitored, managed and assured.
To identify and drive improvements to HR processes, products and services, to make it easier for your BUs to achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities

* Identify the improvements required to HR processes, products and services, championing the line customer, challenging the functional specialist teams to provide better/different products, services and support, and working with them to ensure delivery.

* Develop and use appropriate metrics to measure and drive improvement in the service being provided.

* Work with the Director, their leadership team, and business partners in Finance and Corporate Communications to develop and deliver clear, measurable, strategic plans for the BUs which will:

- make a real difference to the financial and operational performance of the BUs.
- build the capability required for that BU to be successful in the current AMP period and beyond.
- identify how the resources, technical and leadership skills, culture, incentives, motivation and employee engagement, will need to change to meet our business goals, and the actions required to make the transition.
- identify the people risks and the actions required to mitigate, including but not limited to your succession planning and talent development strategy, and appropriate communications plans.
- include a suite of metrics by which progress against these strategic people plans can be measured

* Provide any necessary HR Business Partnering support to the relevant Alliance to enable the delivery programme to meet their goals. Develop, agree and implement effective people plans and relevant HR processes across the Alliance together with the Alliance HR Partners

* Constantly bring insights and ideas which challenge the thinking of the BU Directors and their teams about how they could deploy, motivate, and organise their people resources differently to improve employee productivity, customer service and financial and operational performance.

Skills, behaviours and experience required

* Uses professional HR knowledge to constantly identify ways to improve the Business.

* Proactive and analytical: able to view the Business objectively, to provide a clear analysis, backed by evidence, of the strengths and weaknesses of the BU compared with our competitors and identify what needs changing to help the BU achieve their goals.

* Often looks outward to benchmark our standards and performance, or seek fresh ideas to improve efficiency and performance of the Company and the HR team.

* Focused on delivering what the organisation needs to improve for the future.

* Track record of being a catalyst for change.

* Able to analyse business strategy and translate into a clear, actionable and measurable people plan.

* Evidence of previous successful experience in using appropriate mechanisms to measure and drive progress against these plans.

* Willing to question current ways of doing things, and challenge senior managers constructively even on difficult issues.

* Track record of championing better service to the customer, and collaborating across the HR function to achieve service improvements.

* Excellent planning and organisational skills to deliver to deadlines without the need for chasing.

* Able to demonstrate collaborative behaviour to support the development of the wider HR team's capability, skills and experience so they are seen as a high performing team member consistently delivering excellent standards of HR thinking and support.

* Trusted, reliable and responsive to customers.

* Evidence of effective influencing skills at senior level.

* Sound generalist senior HR experience in a unionised, multi-site environment. Deeper professional or technical experience of either Reward or Leadership Development would be useful.

* Driving licence essential.
