The Resourcing Team at the University of Essex currently consists of two Resourcing Advisers and two Resourcing Assistants. They are responsible for all aspects of staff recruitment including advertising new roles, providing professional advice on recruitment and selection including immigration issues, and co-ordinating the bulk of administrative recruitment activity for posts at all levels across the University and also its subsidiary companies; University of Essex Campus Services and Wivenhoe House Hotel.
You will be expected to take a ‘hands-on’ approach across a range of operational recruitment issues, in a high volume, pressurised and deadline driven environment.
You will work with a Resourcing Assistant to provide advice and work closely with managers at all levels of the University, promoting best practice and introducing innovation into the recruitment and selection process. The current emphasis of the role is on the process of managing, planning and coordinating recruitment and related matters.
We are also working to improve our recruitment practices to bring a more strategic and pro-active focus to the team and this post will be fundamental to achieving this aim.
You will be able to work effectively in an operational and process driven in-house recruitment team, with a pro-active, pragmatic and flexible approach to service delivery and the ability to improve the professional support offered to the wider University.
You should have a minimum of 3 A-levels or equivalent qualification, and it is desirable to have Graduate/Associate member of CIPD or possess an equivalent professional qualification. The ability to manage a varied caseload and handle multiple priorities under pressure to fixed deadlines is essential. You will use strong interpersonal skills to build credibility, develop effective working relationships and gain buy-in from key parties including senior management.

Salary: £29,301 - £32,004 per annum
