HR BUSINESS PARTNER

We are seeking an experienced HR professional to join the HR team at an exciting stage in our development. The Department has recently been re-structured and we are now seeking to appoint an additional HR Business Partner to provide high level HR support to University managers.

Reporting to the Head of HR Operations and Employee Relations, you will work within the HR Operations team and will be responsible for providing high quality, proactive support to line managers with the support of advisory and administrative colleagues.  Dealing with a wide range of complex ER issues, you will have exposure to working with Trade Unions and be able to think on your feet, providing timely and effective advice and support.

You must be MCIPD qualified and have experience of working within the public sector, ideally Higher Education or similar. With the ability to work strategically and see the bigger picture, you must have a good track record of establishing yourself as a partner to senior stakeholders, whilst demonstrating an eye for detail when dealing with sensitive and complex casework.

This is a new role and represents an exciting opportunity for the right person to play a key part in establishing a high quality HRBP service to the University.

Hours of work will be 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday.  Holders of posts at this level are expected to work the hours necessary for the full performance of the duties of the role, subject to a minimum of 35 hours per week.
