Senior HR Business Partner opportunities

The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) is the UK’s lead competition and consumer protection authority. Formed in 2014, our primary duty is to promote competition within and outside the United Kingdom for the benefit of consumers, business, and the economy. We recognise that developing and implementing best practice people management solutions is key to delivering these high impact objectives, so we are looking for talented individuals to join our Business Partnering team to deliver strategic solutions which enable the high performance of individuals, teams, and the CMA as a whole.

In these jobs you would partner leaders and managers in building the capacity, capability and commitment of CMA people; enabling and coaching the delivery of business change and organisational development projects. In addition to client facing responsibilities, you will also have the opportunity to lead cross-organisational projects including on diversity and inclusion, people policies, talent management, as well as managing a small team.

These are varied and exciting opportunities working with stakeholders at all levels across the organisation, Government, and more widely. You will have significant stakeholder management experience, be confident handling challenging stakeholders and managing conflicting priorities, and practised coaching and managing others to deliver the right outcome. You will take a curious and analytical approach to overcoming barriers to change, with a strong employment law background, and experience coaching managers to effectively mitigate risk on complex casework.

All CMA staff enjoy generous benefits, including an excellent pension scheme, 25 days annual leave (increasing to 30 days over five years), favourable consideration of flexible working, generous maternity / paternity provision, childcare vouchers and interest-free season ticket loans or cycle to work scheme.
