Our client is the main provider of further and higher education in Wiltshire and is building a reputation for quality provision, innovation and student care.

They are now seeking an additional experienced and customer-focused HR Business Partner. It is envisaged that the base will be at the Trowbridge campus with regular (weekly) travel to Blandford and other College campuses (north and south of the county).

The HR Business Partner role is to deliver a professional, business-focused HR operational service which meets customer needs and College objectives. The role also contributes to wider HR&OD initiatives, including policy development and delivery of key projects.

Your main responsibilities will include providing advice and support an all aspects of employee relations matters including sickness absence, conduct, performance and grievance cases, providing information on terms and conditions of service and advising managers on the application of employment policies and procedures. You will also be responsible for reviewing and developing HR policies and procedures in line with changes to legislation and best practice, carrying out HR inductions with new staff and developing and delivering training sessions for managers on areas such as performance management and managing sickness absence.

You will have worked within a similar role previously, will be CIPD qualified and have the ability to foster excellent working relationships. It is essential that you have experience of managing complex employee relations cases and managing a caseload. You will have detailed and up to date knowledge of employment law and employment practice.

You will be highly motivated, comfortable working independently and eager to ensure the HR function is effective and efficient. You will also be a strong team player who can establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and customers.
