Domesday Book. Shakespeare’s will. Tweets from Downing Street. War time records. These are just some of the 11 million items held by The National Archives. To make the most of this amazing collection, we have Archives Inspire, an ambitious corporate plan. However, nothing is possible without our dedicated team. As Learning and Development Advisor, you’ll work with our people so they’re ready and able to build an exciting future.
About the role
If you’d like the opportunity to stretch your talents further, join us as a Learning and Development Advisor. With greater breadth and more challenges than a standard L&D role, you’ll have a varied remit at the heart of HR and OD. We’ll look to you for all mandatory training, such as corporate inductions. You’ll also tackle learning needs analysis, design, delivery and the evaluation of our core learning programme. Engagement is another important task and you’ll be running some key initiatives. These include the staff recognition scheme, annual awards, staff surveys, Investors in People and our staff forum. With the help of HR and OD colleagues, you’ll also see that performance management is supported as a fundamental part of our culture. To succeed, you’ll need to build strong links with colleagues and provide sound learning solutions.
Passionate about developing both people and organisations, you’ll be an experienced L&D professional who’s great with people and partners. With a CIPD Certificate in Learning & Development Practice (or equivalent experience), you always strive for best practice and the highest standards. In short, you’re naturally motivated and keen to innovate where you can. It means you consult and collaborate to provide the best possible learning support. Quality, business relevance and value for money will all be key factors to think about. Good organisation will help you manage a busy workload. If you’re adept at delivering learning solutions and employee engagement initiatives, bring your expertise to our dedicated team.
