An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint a Relationship Management Officer who will be responsible for building and maintaining working relationships across the West Midlands Pension Fund's customer base.

Responsibilities will include;

  • To ensure the delivery of communications to employers to include performance reporting, outcomes of data analysis, responding to change and feedback to develop the Funds services
  • To assess, develop and implement customer engagement strategies, including customer journey mapping and communications
  • Develop new and enhance existing relationships with Employers to provide support and guidnce over a wide range of areas including employer performance in line with the Pensions Administration Strategy, employer engagement and research, employer complaints and delivery of actuarial valuation results.
  • To lead and manage a team to maximise individual performance, aligned to objectives and targets

The ideal candidate will be qualified to degree level or can demonstrate significant experience in a relationship management role with a good understanding of wider Local Government issues with strong business/financial acumen and understanding of activities that affect the performance of the Fund.

They ideally will be highly professional and effective when interacting with internal and external customers and possess an ability to engage across all customer bases, with stakeholders of different levels.

This role is based in a very busy team who provide a front facing service to our employers and members, you must be able to demonstrate excellent customer service with strong relationship management skills, and possess the ability to cover technical aspects as required.

A team player with drive to ensure both they and the team achieve and deliver high standards would be well suited to this role.
