HR Advisor opportunity, Bristol, up to £35k pa

One of the UK's most inspiring and best known faith-based organisations is looking for a passionate, proactive and influential HR Advisor.

Your next role
In this pivotal role, you will provide HR support to a dedicated area, ensuring the consistent delivery of HR strategy, initiatives and policies by educating and empowering local Managers.

Reporting to the HR Business Partner, you will be a customer-focused, driven and resilient HR Advisor you will inspire a culture of clear accountability, high engagement and exemplary performance. You will ensure the delivery of service level agreements and will expertly advise and assist on areas such as workforce planning, recruitment, employee relations and absence management - minimising risk, identifying problem areas, and recommending corrective action.

You will also coach local Managers, support the development and implementation of HR policy and practice, and deliver training in all areas of employment legislation.

Whilst the role is home based there will be a requirement to work one day a week at the offices in Bristol, with regular travel to centres in Swindon and the South-West of England, and occasional travel to Newport and the wider region as required.

What you'll need to succeed
* Associate Membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
* A background of successfully advising and coaching line managers on HR issues and employee relations matters
* A knowledge of employment legislation and codes of practice, and experience of recruitment, selection and interviewing.
* Ability to demonstrate boldness and initiative, be proactive and offer a solution-oriented approach
* Experience of employee relations casework and of delivering HR training.
* The ability to work to tight deadlines and to thrive under pressure.
* The ability to show compassion and respect when resolving complex issues and to work with the right values and ethos.
* Strong IT and interpersonal skills
