Are you ready for your next career move?

“Better Careers Begin Here” is our strapline for good reason.

Colchester Institute’s mission is to deliver first class education, professional development and technical skills training to develop careers and strengthen the local economy.  Our core values include placing the success and wellbeing of students and an outstanding student experience at the heart of our choices, decisions and priorities.

You may be a HR Director ready for your next challenge; you may be a Head of HR or HR Manager with significant experience and a desire to move into a Director role. Whoever you are, if you can share our passion for education and training and want the challenge of leading HR strategy for our organisation, we want to hear from you.

As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will report directly to the Principal and Chief Executive Officer and you will work with the College Executive Team and other stakeholders to take our organisation forward. This will include implementing a culture of continuous improvement and delivery on transformational change to provide best value and service.

You will have Chartered MCIPD status, and you will have experience of leading, developing, and implementing HR or Organisational Development strategies (or elements of these strategies) as well as effective HR policies and processes. You will have experience of successfully leading significant change and of leading employee relations including holding collective negotiations and maintaining positive employee relations, including with Trade Unions.

For more details and a full application pack, please visit our Vacancies page.

Applications received by 26th February will receive first consideration.  However, applications received after this date may be considered.  Interviews are currently scheduled to take place on either 11th or 13th March.

Applications can be submitted on a Colchester Institute application form, see www.colchester.ac.uk/jobs, or by sending a CV with a covering letter stating how you meet the role requirements. Applications should be sent by email to jobline@colchester.ac.uk quoting reference 18-079.
