Senior HR Advisor

Are you looking to join the UK’s largest dog welfare charity’s HR team at an exciting time as it continues its journey towards a business partnering approach? Can you manage, inspire and be a role model to a team of experienced advisors?

You will ensure the team builds positive relationships with its client groups and implements appropriate approaches to resolve cases to successful resolution, all the while helping to develop a partnering approach across Dogs Trust. You will work closely with the HR Manager to ensure that the HR Officers and Administrators provide excellent support to the advisors to deliver a first-class service, and that processes are regularly reviewed and updated.

You will have experience of coaching and line managing staff, giving constructive feedback on performance, and devising and driving the achievement of team and organisational objectives.

You will have extensive HR experience, with thorough up-to-date knowledge of employment law and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across the charity. You will be friendly, an excellent communicator, have good decision-making ability and experience of managing a heavy workload in a timely and efficient manner.

There will be a requirement for regular travel throughout the UK, with occasional overnight stays.
