Digital Learning Designer

This is a brand-new role within a newly shaped learning talent and performance function where there is a real desire to overhaul the approach and offering to a rapidly growing business of scale. Everything is to play for and there is opportunity to make a massive impact across a broad learning agenda with a focus on creating digital learning content and approaches.

The business is diverse and rapidly changing with both sizeable multisite operations populations and professional/head office groups. Whilst our client has had a traditional off the shelf e-learning offering to date, this doesn't really meet the bespoke needs of the business today and they are therefore looking to bring in-house and build a capability around developing their own content and learning brand in the e-learning/digital learning space. There will be a relatively blank sheet of paper to operate from allowing a good degree of creativity. The digital learning designer will both work with Subject Matter Experts across the business to covert their knowledge into digital learning interventions across a broad spectrum of areas. There will also be business specific needs such as systems updates, compliance and regulatory updates, so there will be close liaison and collaboration with the IT function.

It is anticipated that the Digital Learning Designer will possess a strong instructional design background and experience with a deep knowledge of adult learning techniques and be fully skilled in the use of a range of tools such as the Articulate and Adope suites and a range of video and audio editing tools. Innovation is expected in how learning content reaches employees and in the format of learning with bite sized and 'app' based learning offerings. There is real scope to work on creating the learning brand of the organisation and to establish e-learning design principles which can be used to upskill others to begin create and share their own content.

Whilst head office for the organisation is in London, it is a multi-site organisation and there is flexibility as to where the person is based, including remote working, although some travel will be required to meet with key stakeholders as projects are moved forward.

There is huge scope in this role so if it sounds exciting and you would like to hear more or apply then please contact Paul Tanton on 01962 737579 or paul.tanton@consult-hr.co.uk or forward your application by clicking the apply button
