This is an exciting opportunity to continually develop the skills of a vibrant contact centre team of 60 people that helps to improve patient safety. Making this role your own, you’ll ensure everyone in the team can perform at their best, provide a great service and connect with a diverse range of people.
The General Medical Council (GMC) helps to protect patients and improve medical education and practice in the UK by setting standards for students and doctors. We support them in achieving (and exceeding) those standards, and take action when they are not met.
As our Contact Centre Training & Development Manager, you’ll proactively manage structured development plans for everyone in our team at our ICS accredited contact centre. Helping us to maintain high standards and continually improve our performance, you’ll impact on our training strategy, map out progression and make sure everyone has the skills they need to provide an outstanding customer experience.
Your role will involve continually updating our training to meet changing needs and meeting regularly with managers to talk about team performance and how it can be improved. Supporting colleagues with recruitment, training and development, you’ll also collate data, assess feedback and produce reports.
You should enjoy working with a team of characters and helping them be their best every day. You must also be a confident communicator and presenter with a good understanding of training techniques and methodologies. You may already have contact centre experience and your excellent people management skills will enable you to deliver training and provide colleagues with guidance and advice. You’ll also ideally benefit from a CIPD or equivalent qualification.
A great company to work for, we can offer you good opportunities to develop your skills and career and such benefits as:
An attractive pension (15% employer contribution)
25 days’ holiday a year
Interest free ticket loans
Exclusive discounts
Employee assistance programme
The opportunity to work from home some days.
A registered charity, we value diversity and inclusion because our differences make us stronger. So, our processes are fair, objective, transparent and free from discrimination.
