A leading private sector organisation is seeking a Global Payroll Lead for an inital 6 month contract, to begin ASAP. The purpose of the role is to complete a detailed analysis of the current payroll landscape for the company, which operates at a global level.
The findings should then influence the future strategy of payroll operations across the organisation. The role holder will be expected to provide a series of recommendations/options for future strategy for the Global HR Operations MD.
Accountabilities:
· Determine current payroll landscape providing a view on current costs; service provision; technologies used and existing control framework
· Work across all regions and countries within the organisation.
· Build out a documented knowledge base and set up a mechanism to keep this knowledge base current
· Identify any control gaps or poor practice
· Create an options paper which sets out a Global Payroll strategy for short and medium term.
Skills Required
- A payroll expert is required who has experience of working with 3rd party providers and also an 'in- house' payroll.
- SAP payroll experience is preferred.
- Good understanding of the payroll market i.e. Knowledge of global providers; knowledge of how other large organisations manage their payrolls; knowledge of payroll platforms e.g. SF/SAP
- Strong communication skills - both verbal/written
The role holder will have to work closely with the Regional HR Ops leads and across HR/Sourcing/Finance to identify all Payrolls. Strong interpersonal skills will be required to get the level of information required globally.
