Head of Employee Relations, Midlands, £170k plus benefits
My Client, a world leading professional services organisation, is looking for a Head of Employee relations to lead a team of 45. Working closely with the MD's and CEO's on a daily basis, this role requires intellectual gravitas to be able to operate at the level required.
Dealing with complex ER issues, this role requires a pragmatic approach and strong knowledge of employment law. Other key responsibilities include:
* Development and delivery of a robust ER and performance strategy which is aligned with the people priorities
* Input to the performance strategy in establishing and promoting a progressive culture in order to achieve highest levels of business performance
* Develop and deploy the ER strategy to support major change initiatives, such as internal business restructuring, mergers or acquisitions
* Communicate and ensure understanding by managers and employees of relevant laws, regulations, and organizational policies and answer non-standard questions by managers and employees as needed
* Partner with internal and external counsel to prepare for and, when necessary, attend mediations, arbitration, and other court proceedings
