My client, a Local Authority in East London, is currently seeking an Apprenticeship Manager, for 18 months, on a fixed term contract basis. The role will be part time at 0.6 of the FTE and they are very flexible about how these hours are work.  

This is a new role in the recently formed HR structure, and is an exciting opportunity for someone to come onboard and lead their apprenticeship offering. 

The role purpose:

  • To successfully develop, coordinate and manage the council’s apprenticeship programme.
  • Work with colleagues to ensure the approach to apprenticeships, placements and graduate programmes best meets the skills and talent needs of the organisation and ensures best value return from the apprenticeship levy contribution.
  • Develop relationships externally with partner organisations to ensure we are an attractive employer for apprentices and work placements.
  • Develop relationships internally to identify opportunities for apprenticeships and placements
  • Seek out and identify workforce intelligence and good practice in other organisations and support Redbridge in adopting these approaches as best fit the organisation.
