Supporting the Head of People, you will work together to ensure an efficient and effective HR function, providing administrative support and handling sensitive and confidential information with tact and diplomacy. You will also support the delivery of learning and development activities across the charity, which is a new focus and a priority across the organisation.

As the HR Administrator in a small team, your role will be truly Generalist in nature covering Recruitment, on-boarding, inductions, Learning and Development and HR Projects. Carrying out the administration related to the recruitment process, you will prepare recruitment documents, organise recruitment timetables, log application forms and administer tests. You will prepare the shortlisting and selection documentation for hiring managers and set up interviews. You will also lead the on-boarding process for all new starters, including completing all the pre-employment checks, DBS checks, right to work and qualification checks. When new starters join the charity, you will design and schedule the induction plan, administer the probation process, and ensure all new starters complete the necessary mandatory e-learning.

Learning and Development is a main priority for this charity over the coming year, in order to provide the desired level of support and training to their employees. Working closely with the Head of People and line managers, you will develop an organisation-wide learning and development plan, including an annual calendar of activity, budget, resources and suppliers, You will be responsible for monitoring and evaluating learning evens and provide technical and administrative support to staff planning and delivering L&D events. Any previous Learning and Development experience would be highly beneficial to your application, especially any expertise with learning needs assessment and/or creating learning plans.

Generalist HR Administration duties will include maintaining an up to date procedures manual, ensure staff profiles are up to date on the HR system and ensure annual appraisals cycles are recorded and up to date. Candidates looking to apply will need to have recent experience working with a HR System.

Candidates looking to apply will need to be available to commit to a one year Fixed Term Contract and they will need to be available start in early January 2021. Ideal notice period would therefore be one -two weeks. Candidates will need to have worked recently in an HR Administrator position and they will be able to demonstrate some level of L&D Admin experience. Any previous experience working in the Charity/Not for Profit sector would be highly advantageous.
