The Church of England faces a challenging agenda in its mission and its vital role in the life of the nation. With this in mind, we are now looking to appoint a Talent Development Manager to work alongside priests who are part of a new development programme for future strategic leaders. Based at Lambeth Palace, this role is part of the team supporting both Archbishops in their responsibilities regarding senior appointments and in ensuring that senior clergy are equipped to deliver their demanding roles.
You will take responsibility for ensuring the new strategic leadership development programme provides stretch and challenge for participants in order to help them realise their potential for future strategic leadership roles in the Church of England. Working with internal and external partners, you will manage the delivery of the programme to ensure that the participants receive innovative and high-calibre learning interventions, as well as challenging support through their development reviews and coaching & mentoring arrangements.
A learning and development professional, you will have experience of
creating innovative development interventions for a high potential programme. Educated to degree level or equivalent, you’ll be committed to your own continuous professional development, and will relish the opportunity to support others in their own development in the context of their Christian vocation.
You will be a confident communicator and able to engage with senior leaders. You will also be a great relationship builder, able to manage complex relationships in a multi layered organisation, with pro-active and enthusiastic personality and skills which will make a significant contribution to the Church’s overall culture and mission.
