Permanent job available for a Talent Skills Development Manager based North Manchester/Lancashire way.

Your new company
The company you will be working for are an established manufacturing/engineering company who have been operating for over 30 years and are unique in the Uk to what they produce. With a staff base of 90 staff the company are creating a new vacancy to help develop the skills of their engineers as well as developing new talent and ideas to attract new talent into the niche sector.

Your new role
You will be required to assess the company's current staff force skills and come up with a specific skills matrix by working with the business and the line managers closely. Your role then is to work out how the company can improve the speed of production to hit the company's turnover targets. This will be achieved by improving the current employees knowledge and experience and speed through various training and coaching sessions. You will also be responsible for searching for new talent in the market. As these roles do not exist in the market place it is all about new ideas to try and find people who will start to train with the business in this new field. This may include things like apprenticeships and local talent from another career who are looking to train again. You will also be responsible for the recruitment and attraction of these staff. As well as this the company are looking to be an employer of choice so a piece of work around this will need to be done to help with attracting new staff and as choice to attract fresh people on the market to the industry.

What you'll need to succeed
We are looking to attract candidates from a strong talent planning background, apprenticeship managers, L & D candidates who have a strong talent background and also resourcing type candidates should you have a strong L & D/talent background previously. I think this would really suit a candidate that has worked for a company such as manufacturing, aerospace, engineering type background and also please bear in mind this is only a staff base of 90 employees.

You will be offered a full time permanent role with a competitive salary and benefits. The company can offer flexible working and you can start any time from 7.30am in the morning and work your full time hours. Should somebody want 4 days then this also maybe a possibility.
