Your new role
As a Group HR Manager you will be reporting into the MD, you will provide a highly effective HR service to assist with the achievement of the Company's objectives.


* Develop and execute the Company HR Strategy
* To be the main point of contact for all HR related enquiries
* Ensure the Company's HR policies and procedures, contracts and handbook are regularly reviewed and reflect up-to-date employment law and best practice
* Advise the Board where appropriate, on the implications of current and emerging employment legislation, including evaluating options, making recommendations and generating action plans to ensure compliance across the Company
* Manage and administer the entire employee life cycle
* Produce management reports as required
* Monitor, measure and report relevant HR issues to the Managing Director
* Manage and administer all HR Systems; to include managing the Personnel files
* Develop and drive new HR initiatives whilst adhering to employment legislation, ensuring adoption and provision of training / support as required
* Ensure Data Protection compliance is maintained at all times by staff and management in line with legislative and Company requirements
* Administer and advise on all Company benefits
* Prepare and issue all general administration associated with HR
* Recruitment: Manage, co-ordinate and administer the full recruitment life cycle - Support and mentor Managers in the recruitment process - Draft and issue contracts of employment to new starters in a timely manner - Coordinate and conduct new starter inductions
* Employee Relations - Ensure probationary reviews are completed in a timely manner and complete all associated paperwork - Lead on employee relations issues including disciplinary, grievances and performance management issues - Maintain and promote good employee relations and ensure employee issues are dealt with at an early stage - Manage short and long term sickness - Carry out return to work interviews and follow ups as appropriate - Manage, advise and administer Maternity/Paternity/Shared Parental Leave applications - Manage, advise and administer Flexible Work requests - Carry out Exit Interviews; to then highlight and follow up any issues raised as appropriate
* Training and Development - Assist and advise Managers in creating Personal Development Plans - Measure the ROI - Design, implement and support a performance management system; to follow up on subsequent actions, salary review and promotions - Develop and present HR training to managers and staff as required
* To operate safely at all times in line with Company health and safety requirements
* To undertake other duties within your capabilities as your manager may assign to you from time to time

What you'll need to succeed

* Minimum CIPD Level 5 is required
* All aspects of people management (4 years plus)
* Occupational Health & Welfare management
* Management of a recruitment function
* Statistical analysis and report writing
* Strong Administrative skills
* Current employment law
* Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
* Managing successful projects
* Good organisational skills with demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
* High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality
* Ability to see the bigger picture and offer realistic, appropriate HR advice and guidance
* Team working
* Ability to build good working relationships at all levels

What you'll get in return
£40,000-£45,000 pro rata, 20-25 hours per week, with flexible working hours.
