Your new company

My client are a luxury, bespoke manufacturer with offices in the South and a factory operation in Stoke on Trent.
Following a recent expansions and recognition of the need to professionalise their people offering, they now have a vacancy for a part time HR Officer to work approximately 16 hours per week over 2 or 3 days.

Your new role

As part time HR Officer you will be responsible for the day to day operations of the HR functions including the administrative support for the factory. You will review and update staff contracts, ensure employee records are up to date, undertake annual staff appraisals / performance reports / manage pay reviews alongside Head Office whilst reviewing and maintain staff training requirements.

You will manage recruitment of new staff / induction of new staff, providing assistance and advice to all staff where required and dealing with any issues arising. You will manage staff absences and holidays and deal with any rota / hours issues - overtime /TOIL etc.

As HR Officer you will provide a means of communication for staff between the factory and Head Office including dealing with employee requests re HR issues / rules and regulations whilst handling complaints and grievance procedures when they arise.

What you'll need to succeed

You will have previous experience in a HR position with strong I.T skills and the ability to build strong working relationships with all levels of the business. You will posses good communication skills and have a sound knowledge of employment law.

What you'll get in return

My client are offering a FTE salary of c£19,000-£23,000 plus benefits for the role and can consider candidates looking for c16-20 hours per week which could be spread over 2 or 3 days.
