Your new company

My client are a global specialist manufacturer with multiple UK operations including a site in Stafford. Following a period of significant growth and investment they are now looking to hire an experienced Part Time HR Advisor to provide a HR service working c20 hours per week, ideally on a 5 day a week basis.

Your new role

As part time HR Advisor you will be responsible for the delivery of an effective HR service to the Stafford operation to ensure they have the right people, organization and culture to achieve their business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

* Interpret, explain and implement departmental policies and procedures, assisting line managers to understand policies.
* Represent HR department in disciplinary situations
* Advise on absenteeism and leave situations to ensure consistency and policy adherence.
* Evaluate sickness absence information and advise line managers on appropriate action.
* Planning and delivering training as required, to include new employee induction.
* Analysing training needs in conjunction with department managers.
* Responsible for occupational health service.
* Recruitment - assist recruitment process, monitoring applicants, short listing, support the line manager in interviewing, preparation of offer documentation, administration of personal profiles or other selection tests.
* Maintain confidential records and information.
* Interpret and advise on employment legislation and employment terms.
* Support the promotion of equality and diversity.

What you'll need to succeed

You will have a demonstrable track record in a generalist HR role with up to date employment law knowledge and ideally CIPD Level 3 qualification. You will be an excellent relationship builder and have the ability to engage with employees at all levels within the organisation.

What you'll get in return

My client are offering a salary of c£27,000-£30,000 FTE which will be pro rata'd for 20 hours per week. They are flexible around the work pattern but would ideally prefer 5 days a week or 4 days could potentially be considered.
