London City Mission seeks to serve the church of London in sharing the love of God and the good news of Jesus Christ with the least-reached of London. The mission has been faithfully sharing the gospel with the neediest of London for over 180 years. Today, the mission is developing dynamically as the city grows and changes. In recent years, we have been growing the number of “feet of those who preach the good news” by recruiting new City Missionaries to grow our existing team across the city.
For integrated missional reasons, our City Missionaries live and worship in the same community as their gospel activities.
On behalf of the Board of Trustees for London City Mission, the HR Subcommittee would like to ensure the integrity and appropriateness of our remuneration for service to the mission as we grow in staff numbers.
The HR Subcommittee are looking for a consultant to review all salaries and benefits across the mission to ensure:
- Consistent internal relativities, including comparisons with those housed and those not housed.
- The right level of remuneration taking the ethos & theology of the organisation into account.
- A proper, robust and transparent method of setting salaries in the mission
There is an Occupational Requirement that the person appointed be an evangelical Christian.
