An excellent opportunity has arisen for a degree educated individual who has strong analytical skills.

My client, a global financial services business has an excellent opportunity and newly created role of Senior Reward Specialist that will support the European Reward Manager. This role will partner the European HR Operations team located in the head office, and will work alongside the HR Managers and location managers in the European branches to deliver the compensation programmes across the European locations. The role will work alongside other Reward experts in the automotive side of the business and will draw on the global reward expertise of the broader team. This role is designed to develop the incumbent as a subject matter expert in compensation and benefit offerings, and the regulatory framework in which they operate whilst giving the incumbent exposure to business HR policies and practices.

In this respect experience in a reward is preferred, but not essential. They are primarily looking for an experienced HR generalist who is seeking a new challenge as part of the European HR team supporting a wholly owned subsidiary of one of the world's most globally recognisable brands. The successful candidate will have strong analytical skills and the ability to effectively communicate complex processes with clarity.

* Partner to the co-located HR Business Operations team on matters relating to compensation and benefits.
* Partner the European locations (HR Managers and location managers) on compensation and benefit related matters, including mandate development for European pay negotiations and benefit design changes.
* Lead the corporate compensation cycle for the European general salaried population and first line Management, working alongside the Europe reward team.
* Manage benefit programmes in the UK and European operations, both financial and non-financial, aligned to the automotive reward team.
* Analyse and make strategic recommendations on discretionary pay awards and promotions
* Lead on projects, for example compliance with the UK Gender Pay reporting requirements.
* Conduct research and provide timely advice to the Reward Manager on regulatory developments on remuneration matters.
* Support the cyclical activities of the Remuneration Committee and the governance structures around remuneration.
* Lead regulatory reporting in respect of remuneration in partnership with the European Reward Manager.
* This role will deputise for the European Reward Manager as appropriate

Candidate Specification

* Degree and CIPD qualification required
* Relevant professional HR experience
* Strong analytical capability with excellent attention to detail, enjoys working with numbers and statistics
* Ability to handle sensitive employee data with care and integrity
* Strong process discipline and IT literacy - strong Excel skills are essential
* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
* Effective in working collaboratively as part of a diverse European team.
* Experience of HAY and/or McLagan job evaluation would be beneficial but not essential
