Your new company

A two year FTC position working for a well-known not-for-profit organisation. This opportunity is a newly created role that has arisen due to the high volumes of work going on within the HR team.

Your new role

Reporting directly to the HR Manager, you will be responsible for providing an effective recruitment service for circa 70 roles a year. This position will require you to use a range of media channels and agencies to recruit into a wide range of positions. In addition, you will be involved in a number of Employee Relations issues with the wider HR team.

You will be responsible for the entire recruitment cycle from writing job descriptions and person specifications, constructing job adverts, looking at the best channels to advertise through, tracking the effectiveness of adverts via an applicant tracking system, creating effective assessment techniques such as psychometric testing and providing feedback to all candidates. You will also be responsible for building relationships with agencies for difficult to fill roles and will be contributing to an overall reduction in agency spend.

You will be working closely with a number of hiring managers and will provide advice around best recruitment practice and candidate attraction techniques. There will be an element of travel involved in the role with the occasional overnight stay at another office location within the UK.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role you will have previous experience of recruiting a range of job roles using a variety of attraction methods. You will also demonstrate an ability and confidence to influence and challenge hiring managers on recruitment best practice.

Previous experience of liaising with agencies is also essential. A CIPD qualification or desire to work towards this qualification is desirable, as is an understanding of the culture of a not-for-profit organisation. Some exposure to ER casework is all essential for this role as you will be working within the larger HR team and will be expected to hit the ground running.

What you'll get in return

You will receive a competitive market salary and access to an excellent pension scheme. The benefits package also includes 25 days annual holiday, plus bank holidays and the office is closed between Christmas and New Year. The working hours are 9-5 and you will have the opportunity to influence and shape the recruitment process as a whole.
