My client are a leading professional services firm.


The firm has grown in size significantly over the last two years resulting in a need for a more structured and proactive approach to systems training. This is a new role, and the successful candidate will act as a central point for developing, maintaining and monitoring IT systems training across the firm. In addition, they will deliver some IT training, such as Microsoft Office applications.

The successful candidate will work in the Learning and Development team (part of the wider HR team), with close links to the IT team. This role will be responsible for ensuring that all new and existing employees are able to use relevant IT systems consistently and to a high standard. The successful candidate will need to formulate training plans, ensuring on-going training and IT literacy using best practice learning. The role will include managing content for training materials, ensuring that knowledge materials are relevant and fit-for-purpose by liaising with internal super-users and external software providers.

* Carry out initial training needs analysis relating to the IT systems currently used within the firm and make detailed recommendations to address skills training requirements and on-going monitoring of skill levels.

* Write, deliver and evaluate systems training modules.

* Produce training and knowledge material for new systems and upgrades to existing systems.

* Ensure all existing IT knowledge material is up to date, relevant and accessible to the whole business via the firm's intranet.

* Assist the IT Team to implement changes through the delivery of bespoke training.

* Work collaboratively with system owners to identify and train internal super-users.

* Communicate systems training news and updates firmwide.

* Co-ordinate all aspects of IT training (inclusive of scheduling, publicising, room booking, resource allocation, delegate communication), and the administration of those tasks.

* Observe super users training others and provide constructive feedback.

* Collecting and analyse feedback related to training delivered by the IT Team, and use this information for continuous improvement.

In addition, the successful candidate will have the following key skills and attributes:

* Up to date knowledge of common IT applications and systems such as Microsoft Office applications.

* Excellent oral and written communication skills.

* Practical and organised with a passion for training delivery.

* Flexible and open minded.

* Ability to establish credibility with people at all levels, both internally and externally.

Education and experience

* Demonstrable experience of training others in the use of IT systems and managing the overall systems training process.

* Experience of working within professional services is desirable but not essential.

* Candidates should be educated to degree-level or have equivalent level professional qualifications, preferably in business, computing or management.

* Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
