The University of Nottingham has 43,000 students and over 8,000 staff at award-winning campuses in the United Kingdom, China and Malaysia.

The University now seeks two experienced Senior Employment Relations Advisers and an Employment Relations Lead for a fixed term period of 4 years to help support the University’s commitment to developing a high performance culture.

The priority for these posts is to support the management of complex employment relations cases with an emphasis on performance management, but also including disciplinary, grievances and dignity matters. You will advise managers on employment law, procedures, best practice and problem resolution.

For the HR Lead post, in addition you will also allocate work, monitor progress on cases and ensure consistency.

You will need to quickly understand the nature of the different business areas of the University to give relevant advice.  You will be confident in your understanding of employment law and advising on the implications of decisions and able to support managers with business-focused, timely and effective solutions.

You will have a degree (or equivalent) and be CIPD qualified. You will have extensive relevant casework experience, be an excellent communicator, numerate and have good IT skills.  In return, you'll receive a generous holiday and pension entitlement and you'll have the opportunity to develop your career within a supportive team.  You'll also enjoy a range of benefits.

Closing Date: 24th May 2017

The interviews will be held on Friday 9 June 2017
