A 12 month FTC in Manchester city centre for an experienced ER Advisor

Your new company
A well known financial services organisation in Manchester are looking to appoint an experienced HR Case Advisor on a 12 month maternity cover basis.

Your new role
You will be advising managers on employee relations issues managing your own caseload. The HR Case Advisor is the first point of contact for leaders providing technical advice and coaching across a range of employee relations issues such as sickness absence, disciplinary, grievance, performance, redundancy and organisational change. A pro-active, customer focused approach is required with the ability to prioritise caseload. The role holder will coach managers and challenge them where appropriate on their approach to HR issues, ensuring guidance is pragmatic, consistent and in line with company policy and current legislation. You will work closely with HR stakeholders and Trade Union Partners.

What you'll need to succeed
You will need previous, recent experience in a similar ER focussed role. You will need a minimum of 2 years experience operating at HR Advisor level, with proven experience of providing ER advice and managing a varied caseload. You will have the ability to influence and coach key stakeholders at all levels through a high support / challenge model, excellent communication skills, great attention to detail and the ability to prioritise workload. Ideally you will be CIPD qualified and have experience of working within a complex Financial Services / regulatory environment and working within a unionised environment - although there is some flexibility.
