L&D Business Partner – c£50-55k & Car - Midlands & UK travel

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established, award winning L&D team.

Reporting to the Head of L&D, your role will contribute to business performance by partnering with one of the key business streams and delivering high quality learning events, development programmes and 121 coaching sessions.

You will also be responsible for a remote team of trainers who will deliver high priority initiatives to meet the needs of your key stakeholders.

The business operates as a specialist B2B  employing c2500 people across a multi-site network. Whilst the role is based in the Midlands, you will manage your own diary to partner with key stakeholders involving travel across the UK on a regular basis - c3-4 days per week.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Identify the development needs of the organisation through key stakeholder management using a pure consultative approach
  • Support the Head of Learning Development and the wider Business Partner team with bespoke programme delivery and ad hoc events
  • The professional and enthusiastic delivery of a wide variety of standard portfolio programmes across the organisation to include Corporate Induction, technical skills, customer service programmes, sales training and other skills development initiatives

The successful candidate will currently be working in an L&D role, ideally within the private sector and be commercially focused and self-motivated, with a relaxed, open and authentic style that is both professional and credible.

Preferred sectors include distribution & logistics, manufacturing, or automotive

This is a strategic role that needs to have impact at a front line level, so being able to interpret global direction into local language is key, as will an experience of developing stakeholder relationships across all levels of the business.

Leadership Development experience and leading/managing change is also an important element of the role. There is a 'value add' focus for interventions, so experience of learning metrics or ROI as stakeholder demands are tough and critically business focused so being able to create and innovate great learning experiences will be key.

You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and will be confident presenting and working with groups, some of which can be quite challenging. Professional qualifications in coaching and/or the use of licensed tools such as NLP, MBTI or SDI would be an advantage.
