HR Advisor - 6 month FTC

Woking location: Poole, Dorset

Working hours: 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday

About the opportunity:
Consult HR are working alongside a Dorset based client who is looking for a competent HR Advisor. This is a six month fixed term contract focusing solely on Employee Relations casework.

The purpose of the role is to ensure that the HR Department is able to manage employee relations (ER) matters efficiently and effectively as and when they occur and importantly, proactively manage employee relationships so as to achieve a positive and productive workplace culture.

The role holder will manage casework relating to discipline, grievance and absence management.

Example responsibilities:

Actively promote a good culture of HR people management activities within the organisation by maintaining high visibility and relationship-building throughout the organisation

Maintain up-to-date knowledge on employment law and legislative changes

Work within organisational policies and procedures, contracts of employment and supporting documentation

Act as case manager across the full spectrum of ER activity and ensure all written representations are clear, concise and accurate

Identify solutions to challenging ER issues and present potential options and ways forward for consideration

What you will need:
Tenacity and resilience in the face of setbacks with an adaptable attitude to changing business conditions

Proven capability with all ER case work

Top drawer communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to work accurately and concisely, often at speed

Very good IT skills particularly with MS Word and Excel

CIPD qualifications, or equivalent

Good stakeholder management capability and a desire to build strong working relationships at all levels of the business

Driving licence and access to a vehicle to support multi-site activity
