Permanent Head of People Development & Culture job in Edinburgh offering up to £80,000 + competitive benefits

Working for an innovative and fast paced organisation in Edinburgh, you will taking on a new role as Head People Development & Culture. With offices in Edinburgh and two further down South, you will take responsibly for the management of a small team, encouraging continual development in line with business strategy.

Your new role

Responsible for managing a small team, you will have the opportunity to oversee the HR function with your main focus on People Development. Reporting into the Group CEO, you will play a key part of the UK Leadership team and will be taking ownership for the development of staff across the organisation. Following the merger, you will be responsible for ensuring culture and values are embedded across the organisation. You will lead staff development programmes from graduate development schemes to management training. You should be an expert in staff development and be able to assess requirements and implement change through tailored content and forming strong relationship with external providers. You will work closely with leaders in the organisation to ensure the development message is supported and implemented remotely. You will be an ambassador for the organisation and this will be demonstrated through your own innovative approach to people development programmes. As Head of People Development & Culture, you will be managing projects across your team, these may include reviewing employee contracts, managing external relationships with stakeholders, reviewing policies and procedures and overseeing HR administration.

What you'll need to succeed

The successful candidate will be passionate about staff development and will be innovative in the creation of blended learning techniques. You will have the proven ability to manage teams and have examples of successful staff development through different learning methods. You will have experience in managing culture change and be creative in your approach. Leading by example, you will be able to demonstrate an appetite for learning and be flexible in your approach in relation to business needs.
