Your new company
Commercial Organisation based in Guildford seeking a HR Advisor to join their team 4-5 days per week, 15 month fixed term contract

Your new role
This position is initially a fixed term contract maternity cover for 15 months, commencing early September 2017, and will involve taking responsibility for company day to day HR needs both in the UK and internationally, (90 staff internationally, 75 UK based) and supporting the Director of People. Although generalist, there will be a requirement to support ad hoc projects that fall into the HR remit. The role covers the entire generalist remit and holds responsibility for the delivery of a full range of HR services to the organisation.


* End to end resolution of employee relations issues
* Advice and coaching to managers on all areas covered by the employment relationship
* Conducting disciplinary and grievance interviews
* Advice to managers on policies, procedures and relevant legislation changes
* Conducting exit interviews
* 121 support for employees to discuss concerns
* Ensure that all global offices are compliant with relevant employment law from an HR / employee perspective
* Oversight of the onboarding & offboarding processes
* Provide ad hoc support to line managers on creating performance objectives
* Managing the business' Director & employee benefit schemes, including overseeing an annual review in a timely fashion
* Manage the auto-enrolment process
* Salary benchmarking data
* Liaising with payroll functions globally
* Ensure Company talent acquisition and on-boarding processes are fit for purpose and likely to ensure the Company successfully attracts and engages first class talent in line with the business need
* Take responsibility for the day to day management of the HR Co-ordinator
* Cultivate and maintain good working relationships with Regional Heads, Line Managers and Company Directors


What you'll need to succeed


* Ideally HR experience gained in a commercial SME
* Worked at HR Advisor level or above
* Be hungry to learn, have an inquisitive, proactive work ethic with a "how can I add value" disposition
* Be content with a varied role which involves HR generalist work and administration
* Have strong emotional intelligence and a high level of integrity
* Ideally have passed the CIPD Advanced (Level 7 post-grad) Diploma and have experience working in a generalist HR role


What you'll get in return
Base salary of £35,000 - £42,000. working pattern of 4 or 5 days plus benefits
