Your job:

We have an exciting role available for a HR Advisor to join a well-known Oxfordshire based organisation on a fixed term contract for 12 months, supporting two HR Business Partners on a range of HR areas. Working in a supportive and collaborative Human Resources team, this newly created role gives the successful candidate the opportunity the further develop their generalist HR experience in a hands on, proactive position.

Key areas of responsibility will include:

  • Supporting with employee relations case work
  • Advising and coaching managers on a range of HR areas
  • Recruitment; including resource planning, turnover and retention activities
  • Providing support on areas of performance, appraisal, disciplinary, grievance and absence
  • Liaise with senior HR management on areas of Occupational Health
  • Any other ad hoc HR projects as required

Job requirements:

To be considered for this role, you will have gained experience in a generalist HR role, whether that be a HR Advisor or an established HR Assistant. You will have gained exposure to ER casework, working to tight deadlines and resolving issues through to completion. You will  be tenacious, happy using your initiative and make recommendations and challenge on processes as required. Ideally you will be CIPD qualified Level 5 however this is not essential. Previous experience working in the education sector is desirable, although this is not key. A professional demeanour as well as the ability to build strong working relationships is also necessary.
