Head of Training Development
The Sea Cadets are a dynamic and growing charity based in South East London who requires a Head of Training Development.
We are currently looking for a dynamic leader in youth development. You will be the driving force behind designing impactful development opportunities for our 14,000 Sea Cadets across the UK. You will also develop the necessary training to effectively equip our 9,000 volunteers to be brilliant youth leaders providing our young people with life changing experiences.
This is an exciting and challenging role which will require you to lead all our work on developing our sea cadet and volunteer training across the whole charity. You will ensure we adopt an innovative approach based on best practice within the youth education sector.
You will lead, inspire and manage a small team of three development professionals. You will also have functional accountability for 20 volunteers who are subject matter experts to support you developing the training.
Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Develop a strategic outlook on the charity’s current training and establish a scheme for future development
- Conduct and deliver training development projects in line with the vision and strategy plan
- Ensure development of safe and effective training and development practices throughout the organisation
Experience of youth sector exposure within the learning and development arena is essential for this post.
You will be a knowledgeable and experienced individual, possessing a strong background in leadership and a proven ability in strategic development.
