Our client is a very successful mid-sized global organisation with strong growth projections. As with many businesses change is a strong theme and to support this new structures are being evolved within the HR function to ensure they most effectively support the business.

The most effective approach to the delivery of 1st line HR operations is now being looked at and there is a desire to appoint a new Head of HR Shared Service to drive and support change in this area. Currently the offering is relatively modest, focused on HR administration and HR processes supporting UK and Ireland operations. However there is a desire to develop this such that its reach is extending to supporting operations across EMEA and widening it's brief to encompass 1st line employee relations support and HR metrics with possible scope to centralise further elements. This will clearly be a significant change for stakeholders across the business, hence our client is seeking an experienced Shared Service leader who has excellent skills in engaging people through change and the underpinning of change processes such as gap analysis process mapping and engagement and communications. It will be an exciting time and the candidate should be an accomplished leader who can build and motivate and effective team to deliver on the BAU whilst plotting out and landing the vision for the future.

As a candidate you will need to bring strong experience of leading/managing a HR shared service operation and ideally the establishment of a shared service function or growth of that function working across the business to identify what is right to be in scope and the managing the transition phase to going live. Prior exposure of leading a shared service provision across an international footing would also be an advantage but is not essential. You should be an influencer, with vision, a change agent, with good rigour to enable structured change and strong leadership skills.
