HR Adviser, HR Administrator, HR Advisor, HR Generalist, Contract, Human Resources maternity leave assignment

I am currently recruiting on behalf of a well-known manufacturing organisation in Peterborough, who have a requirement for an experienced HR Administrator to join them on a full time, contractual basis for a year's maternity cover.
This role is a varied requirement and would provide an HR Generalist with the opportunity to fully utilise a varied role and gain exposure within other areas of HR to improve your skill set further, whilst working in a secure contractual role - which offers a years commitment from the client.

Main Duties and Tasks:

* Administer and process HR records
* Ensure all records are up to date
* Ensure that all databases are up to date and accurate
* Ensure all Authority to Recruit forms are signed by the Manager, HR Manager and General Manager
* Responsible for sending internal and external job adverts
* Prepare and process all new starter and leavers paper work as well as delivering HR induction for all new starters
* Prepare Induction plan for all new starters
* Arrange interviews
* Arrange and Coordinate meetings and events
* Assist in taking notes during Meetings
* Assist in organising Occupational Health appointments
* Input holidays into the SAGE for two sites
* Resolve Holiday queries
* Responsible for Self Certification forms to be completed and returned to HR
* Maternity and Paternity administration and advise
* Maintaining Sage System by updating and entering data
* Maintain HR KPI's on a monthly basis
* Responsible for Agency audits
* Liaising with agencies, advertising on web or through local channels
* Liaise with the payroll on all changes to employee's terms and conditions, holiday and sickness
* Controlling attendance, absences and holiday bookings
* Manage sickness and absence and Bradford Factor
* Participate on all disciplinary and grievance panels and prepare related documentation with the HR Manager + taking minutes during meetings
* Maintain Contractual Changes
* Reference request
* Responsible to keep an up to date Job Descriptions for all roles in the Company
* Contribute to project teams as and when required
* Provide cover for Reception
* Provide all admin support for the HR Manager and HR Advisor
* Provide any admin support as required for the management team
* Ad hoc projects as advised by the HR Manager


* Must have strong and effective communication skills
* Excellent personal and presentation skills
* Communicates effectively with everyone across the Company


* Self-Motivated and confident with an understanding of the challenges facing in a very busy food manufacturing sector
* Have the ability to influence and motivate at all levels within the Company
* Ability to build quickly, effective relationships
* Be conscientious with attention to detail being a priority

Person Specification: Entry Qualifications, Experience and skills:

* Previous HR and administration experience essential
* A sound working knowledge of MS Office
* Must have excellent communication skills
* Be able to demonstrate the ability to work with others
