Senior HR Advisor, Senior Human Resources Adviser, HR Officer, HR Manager, Manufacturing and fast paced

I am currently recruiting for a permanent Senior HR Adviser position that is based on the outskirts of Cambridge, with access to free car parking and long term career prospects.

The purpose of this role is to support the Human Resources Manager with the delivery and implementation of the Human Resources Strategy. To provide a high quality, robust employee relations advice to Managers and Directors. Act as nominated HR contact in the Human Resources Manager's absence. To play an active part in leading transition and change projects.

The principle responsibilities will be:
 To work as a senior practitioner providing high quality and robust employee relations advice across a number of departments.
 Lead on best practice, design and implement practical HR solutions to business issues
 Work closely with Managers to ensure we have proper workforce planning measures in place and supporting key discussions and the appropriate outcomes
 Provide first class advice service to managers and directors, using effective coaching techniques to ensure managers are equipped to support their teams effectively
 To play an active part in training needs analysis, organising Learning and Development events and post evaluation
 Assisting with policy development and issue to ensure best practice
 Identify areas where HR interventions are required in order to improve business performance
 Undertake adhoc research projects and perform analysis to create reports and highlight recommendations
 Assist with the Human Resource support for overseas sites
 Oversee disciplinary and grievance caseload at all levels of the policy, providing support to Managers with the investigation and hearing. This may include dismissal hearings when nominated by the Human Resources Manager
 Provide statistical information and analysis to management when required.
 Support HR Manager and the wider HR team when required

 Planning and co-ordinating HR initiatives using both internal and external resources
 Managing multiple projects and caseload to often tight deadlines
 Time management during busy periods of recruitment and retention
 Providing timely and accurate management reports and feedback

Contact with others
 Employees at all levels of the business including other sites
 Third party agencies e.g. recruitment, pension provider, health insurance etc.
 External customers/contacts

 CIPD Chartered status or equivalent qualification
 Significant experience of human resources and employee relations in a commercial environment
 Knowledgeable to be able to advise managers on best practice and to deal confidently with all aspects of employee relations
 Ability to manage multiple/conflicting priorities and deliver to deadlines
 Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to quickly gain and maintain credibility and rapport with managers and employees
 Able to demonstrate a good level of emotional intelligence and resilience when responding to often complex cases
 Good level of communication and influencing skills
 Experience of facilitating meetings and training initiatives
 Able to elicit information to identify specific stakeholder needs and to offer clear advice and guidance on specialist procedures
 Able to deal with sensitive information in a confidential manner
 Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
 Able to apply a comprehensive understanding of systems and procedures
