Our client, a family and children's charity, is seeking an experienced and hands on HR professional to lead the HR & Facilities team, for 7 months starting from October.

Interim appointment – for 7 months from October 2017
Part time role – 30 hours per week
Based in Reading
Salary: £46,354 – £56,655 per annum, pro rata (Circa £37,584 - £45,937
actual)

Rated as Outstanding by Ofsted, this charity exists to increase the life chances of children and young people especially those from more vulnerable backgrounds.   

Reporting to the Chief Executive, you will advise the Executive Team on the HR implications of business plans and provide pragmatic HR day-to-day support to managers and staff.

In addition, you will be responsible for facilities management (including health and safety, office facilities, IT and telephony).

An excellent understanding of HR processes is essential, as is a sound knowledge of employment law, and experience of working in recruitment, employee relations, training and performance management. A general understanding and some experience of health and safety and facilities management would be an advantage.

MCIPD qualified with relevant experience in a generalist HR role, you will be proactive, skilled in people management, able to work on your own initiative with minimal supervision and capable of providing excellent direction and support for the HR & Facilities team.
