This is a unique opportunity to drive forward the talent and capability agenda at a government department that touches the lives of everyone in the nation. Your remit will span the Department for Transport and our four diverse executive agencies - the DVLA, DVSA, VCA and MCA. Between us, we ensure Britain’s transport networks at land and sea are safe. It takes all kinds of expertise. As Deputy Head of Group Talent, Learning and Capability you’ll help us to get the best from everyone.

We will look to you to lead the continual improvement of talent, learning and capability - from driving special projects, through to championing the professional development capability agenda. Naturally, this is a role in which no two days will ever be the same. On Monday, you might be immersed with operational teams. On Tuesday, you could be talking senior talent development. Along the way, you will take personal responsibility to the coordination and development of two Talent & Capability Partners, and act as deputy head for the Group TLC team.

An ambitious talent and capability specialist with a strong background in HR, your passion for this type of work is more than matched by your track record of achievement. You have led teams and managed projects, engaged with diverse stakeholders, and driven changes with positive impact. Now you are ready for your biggest, broadest opportunity so far.
