The HR Generalist Opportunity:

We are seeking applications from experienced HR Generalists to work with our management team. You will have the ability to deliver a proactive and flexible HR service, drive best practice and facilitate organisational change to help the organisation fulfil its growth and development plans. For successful performance in the role, you will also require strong influencing and decision making skills with the ability to manage people. We expect you will have achieved or are studying towards CIPD qualification.

The HR Generalist Role:

+ The first point of contact for all queries relating to HR
+ Provide advice to senior management and other managers on statutory obligations and compliance
+ Maintain and update all company policies, processes and the Company Handbook
+ Managing the HR Assistant and the Payroll Assistant
+ Support managers in building and managing training plans
+ Management of the recruitment lifecycle
+ Responsible for the organisation’s HR administration, including all documentation and ensuring accurate recording and updating of records
+ Support the payroll function and ensure payroll changes are approved and processed on time
+ Management of employee relations issues and support managers, seeking advice as required
+ Absence management including support to managers with return to work interviews and follow-up actions

Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

+ Significant HR Generalist experience ideally gained in a stand-alone HR role
+ Up-to-date working knowledge of employment law 
+ Skilled at working with and advising people at all levels
+ Good influencing and decision making skills
+ Working autonomously in a fast-paced environment
+ People management and supervisory skills
+ Excellent attention to detail
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
+ Diplomacy and tact
+ Effective organisation and project management skills
+ Competent in use of Microsoft office packages including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
