HR Business Partner to join a busy and proactive HR team supporting a supply chain & engineering business.

Your new role
As a HR Business Partner you will be working as part of a small HR Team providing HR Business Partnering services to an Operations division of 350 employees.

1 To provide HR advice and guidance to line managers in relation to resourcing, discipline, grievance, performance and absence case management including short term and longterm absence.
2 Lead employee relations through communication and consultation with employees and employee representatives on a day to day basis.
3 Promote and implement best practice in line with policies, procedures and guidelines.
4 Assist in the development of policies, procedures, and guidelines to support line managers with practical interpretation and application.
5 Facilitate improvements in line manager capability through one to one coaching, mentoring and other development activities.
6 Assist in reviewing HR systems and processes, recommending and implementing improvements
7 Work with line managers to ensure any structural/role changes are carried out following best practice and compliant with any contractual or legal obligations
8 Develop and maintain a sound understanding of all functions to ensure the ability to provide broader HR support as required across the business
9 Assist with other HR activities and project work as required.

What you'll need to succeed

* MCIPD qualified, or in the process of working towards MCIPD qualification. Up to date working knowledge of employment law.
* Previous experience of working in an operations/unionised environment desirable.
* Computer literacy in MS applications
