Over the last two years Thames Ambulance Service Ltd (TASL) and PCD have grown from two local private ambulance firms servicing contracts based in Essex and South Yorkshire, to being one of the largest private sector ambulance companies in the UK. In addition to our contracts in Essex and Doncaster we now provide PTS, renal and discharge services to CCGs and hospitals in Brighton, Crawley, Kettering, Northampton, Leicester, Loughborough, Lincoln, Louth, Boston, Grantham, Grimsby, Scunthorpe, Hull, Rotherham, Barnsley, Sheffield, and Doncaster. Our Group’s turnover is more than £25m with over 800 staff. This has been an unprecedented period of growth with most of the new business occurring during 2017.

The pace of change has been exhilarating and for the next year or so we see an emphasis on consolidation and quality improvement before considering further expansion. As part of this process we are looking to appoint a HR Business Partner to support this transition. 

Reporting into the Regional Director and working as part of a growing Human Resources team. The successful candidate will be the People and HR lead for their region with responsibility for supporting the regional director in leading, developing and delivery of a safe, efficient and effective service. 

As a suitable candidate you will be CIPD qualified and have significant experience in; 
•    employee relations case management experience especially current case law
•    Working within a unionised environment including consultation and negotiation
•    Coaching and developing managers
•    Experience of working in an ambiguous, highly regulated environment
•    Tupe experience would be an advantage
•    Experience of driving through a change in culture
