Head of People and Organisational Development
North Wales is regarded as one of the most beautiful places to live and visit in the UK. North Wales Police serves a population of 687,500 across one of the largest geographic areas in the country. Our mission is to deliver a Safer North Wales. We have made major strides in delivering this vision through service improvements, but we don’t want to stop there. This is where you come in, as we seek to strengthen our senior team by recruiting a Head of People and Organisational Development (POD).
We are looking for a talented, experienced HR professional to join our senior leadership team and lead our HR, OD and Well-being Services.
As our Head of People and Organisational Development you will be at the vanguard of our transformation agenda, working closely with colleagues and partners to support the creation of a modern and flexible organisation, helping us transform the police force and how it operates to our vision and values. Under your leadership and direction, and with strong corporate support, you will shape, lead and embed our POD/People Strategy.
Candidates will need senior experience and a successful track record in HR and/or OD in the broader public sector, as well as the ability to drive our POD Strategy and make us an employer of choice. Just as important will be your values, attitude and approach, and the ability to work collaboratively with staff, trade unions, stakeholders and the Police and Crime Commissioner and deliver excellent results.
