My client are leading accountancy practice based in the city of London.


Description

* Implementing strategy for HR management and development (including discipline, grievance, counselling, pay and conditions, contracts, training and development, succession planning and performance appraisals)





* Overseeing the operational HR needs across the region





* Working closely with Regional Management team and Group with HR strategy





* Maintaining awareness and knowledge of contemporary HR development theory and methods and provide suitable interpretation to partners, managers and staff within the organisation





* Contributing to the evaluation and development of HR strategy and performance in cooperation with the executive team





* Ensuring mechanisms and opportunities exist for staff development and coaching





* Providing an efficient HR service to the Partnerships, ensuring legal compliance and encouraging best practice





* Dealing with staffing issues at a strategic and Regional level







* Contributing to the provision of an excellent service to a diverse range of partners, providing support to staff and partners







* Liaising with Staff Partners to deal with more local office issues to ensure consistency throughout the Firm





* Advising Partners and Managers on best practice regarding people management issues i.e. welfare, development and discipline





* Managing and controlling departmental expenditure within agreed budgets







* Managing HR assistant







* Liaising with other functional/departmental managers so as to understand all necessary aspects and needs of HR development





* Monitoring, measuring and reporting on HR issues, opportunities and development plans and achievements within agreed formats and timescales





* Ensuring that the firms remain legally compliant regarding changes in employment law





* Ensuring mergers and acquisitions are conducted in a legally compliant and procedurally efficient way, minimising the impact to partners and staff





* Ensuring staff are properly developed and coached at all levels





* Supporting people managers with absence concerns. Arranging occupational health reports where appropriate





* Advising the Firm on the market rates for salaries throughout the firm and the corresponding benefits and managing the pay review across the region





* Administering and co-ordinating the Annual Appraisal and Mid Year Reviews


Profile

* Previous experience of managing HR within a Medium sized organisation





* Preferably have worked within a professional services environment





* Experience of managing multiple businesses, locations and stakeholders and advantage



* CIPD qualified



* Must be able to travel regionally
