Busy HR Advisor opportunity based in Bristol. Salary up to £42k pa +benefits. 6 month FTC. Engineering sector.

Global company currently with project offices across the UK plus several depot locations. They looking to expand their operations further to build upon their global reputation for quality, reliability, innovation, design and technological leadership.

Your new role - HR Advisor, 6 month fixed term contract

* Delivery of objectives to support the HR strategy based on the operating model with clear accountability, structure defined both vertical and horizontal for integration, development plans and tracked KPI's.
* Control of headcount with recruitment costs tracked in line with KPI and budgetary limits.
* Providing advice to managers regarding employee issues during probation.
* Supporting and guiding managers through performance issues.
* Ensuring that Personal Development Plans are completed and audit for quality and compliance.
* Assisting in conducting regular reviews and ensure these are documented and tracked.
* Managing the full end to end process of employee relations including grievance, discipline and suspension. Also including investigations, formal meetings, report writing and tracking.
* Ensuring that Occupational Health are taking an active part in health matters and monitoring KPI's for positive improvements.
* Provide support to line managers in maintaining and developing strong and positive working relations with Trade Union and representative bodies on site
* Attendance at local Union meetings and lead site employee forums
* Monitoring that Time and attendance for compliance and payroll queries are handled in a structured manner.
* Ensure all templates are standardised, clear and consistent and reviewing this on a regular basis for legal and Company compliance.
* All policies and procedures are regularly reviewed and updated.
* Act as Communications champion for the site.
* Contributing to ad hoc projects, in particular taking ownership of specific projects
* Preparation of HR procedures, policies and reports
* To provide support to other Departmental Managers in the implementation of HR procedures.
* Responsible for maintenance of relevant employee personnel records both in hard copy and electronic format i.e. application forms, contracts, benefits, medical records, training records, competency and appraisals.
* Arranging medicals / drugs & alcohol tests and screening appointments as required.
* Managing sensitive and confidential matters including personnel relations, employee relations and organisational changes

What you'll need to succeed
Strong background in ER and sound HR knowledge and can do attitude to work at pace a busy environment with a flexible approach. You'll also be well versed in taking initiative and happy to be managed remotely.
