Payroll Project Manager (North Birmingham) - c.£50000 + excellent benefits

This well-known and market leading organisation is recruiting for a highly experienced Payroll Project Manager to join the team. As part of a small and very busy HR team this role offers a good deal of autonomy as well as the chance to build strong and effective relationships with key Stakeholders across the business.

The role is based in Birmingham with responsibility for managing the outsourced payroll and pulling together all relevant parties to ensure the smooth running and success of the outsourcing project.

You will have accountability for all Payroll issues internally and externally including the following

* Managing all key relationships with internal and external payroll interfaces including HR, Finance, outsourced payroll provider, HRMC as well as internal and external audit.
* Managing the relationship and ongoing contract with the outsourced payroll provider, ensuring legal compliance as well as ensuring regular service review.
* Identifying any risks to the organisation and escalating if appropriate.
* Ensuring compliance with statutory reporting regulations
* Process Mapping, with a huge focus around continuous improvement and streamlining.
* Manipulating data, reporting to the business and investigating any anomalies.

You will need

* Excellent technical knowledge of payroll, tax and compliance regulations as well as relevant qualifications (CIPP).
* Highly developed Stakeholder Management and Project Management skills.
* A proven track record of dealing with staff at all levels.
* High level of numeracy and analytical skills as well as advanced IT literacy (able to extract, analyse and manipulate data).
