An exciting opportunity for a Head of Recruitment based in Reading

Your new company
Our client is an independent practice of engineers, planners, scientists and economists. They are driven by ambition.You'll work to build strong relationships with senior stakeholders to enable effective resource planning and play a pivotal role in achieving our Plan for Sustainable Growth. Across the Practice and you will have the remit to scope our recruitment requirements and associated attraction and selection strategies.

Your new role
Key responsibilities:

* Develop a recruitment strategy to deliver on our 5-year Plan for Sustainable Growth
* Engage with members and senior stakeholders to enable effective resourcing planning across disciplines and regions
* Lead, coach and develop a recruitment team to meet the resourcing needs of the business
* Ensure our early years' recruitment strategy effectively meets our business needs now and in the future
* Develop recruitment system capability to enhance the candidate journey and enable talent banking and mapping
* Create a candidate attraction strategy that reinforces our brand and develop routes to market
* Review, design and implement recruitment policy, strategy and processes to ensure that we provide an excellent service to both our internal clients and to candidates
* Deliver recruitment and interview skills training and enable effective coaching to enhance the interview selection process
* Develop KPI's and metrics to aid improvements in recruitment activities
* Work closely with HR Business partners to aid the development and implementation of retention strategies
* Collaborate with Marketing to enable effective brand profiling on social media and develop internal communication
* Develop policies and procedures to enable effective internal recruitment to aid employee retention
* Visiting offices, as required, to share knowledge and drive continuous improvement to enable effective resourcing to meet growth plans

What you'll need to succeed
Key requirements:

* Experience in developing and delivering on recruitment attraction strategies within a skills shortage market
* Experience of leading, coaching and managing team members to deliver against a recruitment strategy
* Highly effective influencing skills to enable development of market leading recruitment processes
* Experience of developing brand and delivering recruitment marketing strategies
* Excellent communication skills at all levels and the ability to adapt style to facilitate resource planning to achieve growth targets
* Experience of developing system capability to maximise talent attraction and management
* Experience of developing and managing KPI's and metrics to effective change and performance improvements
* Passionate about the candidate experience and delivering excellent service
* Resilient and tenacious
* Proactive, collaborative and supportive team player
* Creative thinker able to conceive innovative recruitment solutions and take them from idea to reality
