Interim HR Advisor York centre ( Free parking available ) Immediate start

In this role you will deliver a professional HR service to line managers and employees, providing advice and support across the full range of HR activities. You will also contribute to projects including continuous improvement, change management and business development.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:


* Actively supporting managers on HR matters; working with them to engage their people and find solutions for the business.
* Advising, guiding and supporting managers in the management of discipline, grievance, performance, absence and occupational health.
* Advising, guiding and supporting managers in organisational change including departmental restructures and redundancy programmes.
* Supporting managers to shift from reactive to strategic resource planning and to consider a range of resourcing solutions to fulfil their business plans; ensuring recruitment is driven or informed by strategic resource plans and robust decision making.
* Working in partnership with managers to plan, design and execute innovative recruitment campaigns that attract, select and welcome the right people.

: You will definitely....


* Have experience of working in a HR environment in an advisory capacity supporting the management of discipline, grievances, performance, and absence.
* Have experience in the recruitment process, including campaign and selection management, and negotiating job offers.
* Have experience of supporting change programmes, including preparation and consultation.
* Be able to provide business focused solutions to HR problems by analysing business needs, interpreting policy and law, and applying good practice.
* Show effective communication skills and the ability to form robust working relationships with managers, colleagues and external stakeholders
* Have the tenacity to manage challenging situations
* Enjoy teamwork and collaborating with colleagues at all levels
* Be able to prioritise a varied workload and work effectively to tight deadlines
* Have strong attention to detail and excellent numerical skills
* Have experience of using HR databases and systems as well as a working knowledge of MS Office
* Be tactful, professional and able to demonstrate discretion and confidentiality
