HR BUSINESS PARTNER
Salary circa £39,900 per annum

We are seeking an experienced HR Professional to work within the team and across the wider University in supporting delivery of our emerging People Plan and the new University Strategy. Reporting to the Head of HR Operations and Employee Relations, you will work within the HR Operations team and will be responsible for provide high quality, proactive support to line managers with the support of advisory and administrative colleagues.  Dealing with a wide range of complex ER issues, you will have exposure to working with Trade Unions and be able to think on your feet, providing timely and effective advice and support. 

You must be MCIPD qualified and will have experience of working within a complex organisation, preferably in the education or public sector.  An ability to work strategically and see the bigger picture, you must have a good track record of establishing yourself as a partner to senior stakeholders, whilst demonstrating an eye for detail when dealing with sensitive and complex casework. You should also have line management experience and be able to demonstrate your ability to develop, motivate and direct others in the provision of a professional HR service.

This role represents an exciting opportunity for the right person to play a key part in establishing a high quality HRBP service to the University.

Hours of work will be 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Holders of posts at this level are expected to work the hours necessary for the full performance of the duties of the role, subject to a minimum of 35 hours per week.
